<>Indian government insulted the great revolutionist and social reformer Basavanna and his millions of followers by recognizing the Lingayat religion as one of the caste.Lingayat is the religion by itself.Lingayat should be considered as the religion.It is difficult to spread the religion to other parts of the world without getting the status of religion.

This website is dedicated to the social revolutionist Basavanna.This is an effort to highlight the work and principles of 12th century social revolutionist Basavanna.Basavanna should not be limited to the region or caste.His principles and practises should be introduced to the entire world. Basavanna revolted against the religion and caste practises in the 12th century.He wanted the entire world to be with only one religion,where there will be no partiality among the people.He beleived that kindness is the origin of the religion.He did not advise to beleive in god,instead he advised to beleive in themselves,he advised to review their own soul.He struggled hard to eradicate the superstitions.Most of the people from different religion and caste converted into Lingayat religion during his period.He accepted madiga (untouchable during that period) into Lingayat religion and became the revolutionist.Unfortunately his work is limited to only karnataka(India).
